Helmed by first-time director Dana McCarthy, THE WHITE BODY explores the space that holds predominantly white bodies, within which you are forced to adopt a certain lifestyle/character the aim of which is to make you feel more included. The film takes you to a sunken place where you discover the type of characters and identities held within that architecture. The juxtaposed scenes portray the two different lifestyles that are lived within different spaces.

McCarthy said, ‘While existing in a white space as a black body you begin to realise how whites operate in spaces of inclusion and diversity. You become aware of what the supposed outcome is to be. I wanted to portray this inner space for all to see on the screen.”
